Check Car History Reports and Lemon Laws For Free?

said:

Is there anywhere that I can check car history, car facts, and/or lemon law issues on line? I am in the process of buying a new car and would like to check out the background on them before I decide to do this. Any sites where I can find out anything about used cars, or find out the things I have listed above, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and for reading this.

Does the lemon law apply to a salvaged car bought privately?

Im in California and i bought a car with a warped frame, we weren’t made aware of this at the time of purchase, but it was made as is with no warranty.

so my question is, is it illegal for them to sell me a car without me being made aware of this.

i asked a CHP officer and he said it was illegal to drive with the frame crooked.

A lemon from the start. What’s the recourse?

said:

My friend bought a Mazda brand new a year ago. From the start it had problems. Now she has 8,000 miles on it, and she can’t drive it at all. I told her to return it to the dealer. She was too nice to do this in the first place–hoping this lemon can be fixed. So far she has written them a letter, of course, with no reply back. She bought this car in California. Isn’t there a lemon law? Can’t she just return it. Thanks!

Can you please help me find legal help in a computer fraud case by Dell?

said:

I heard that there is a computer lemon law in California and I need to know how I can use this consumer right to my advantage. I purchased a Dell computer 10 months ago and it broke down. They sent me a refurbished computer but it did not work either. They sent a technician 5 different times to try to fix it but it did not work. They finally told me that they will send me a replacement computer to replace the replacement that they sent me. They told me it would take 1 week to get but I’ve been waiting 2 weeks and it still is not here. I called them to give me a tracking number, but they said a tracking number is not available and that I would have to wait another 2 to 3 weeks to get the second replacement. My computer first broke down over a month ago. I just want what I paid for. I tried to be patient and diplomatic by calling Dell to resolve my issues but they are just putting me on a wild goose chase by transfering me to different departments and that it’s getting built and such. I’m just wondering why it takes someone over two weeks to build a damn computer. What can I do? Please help!!!

Some friends and I got a friend an Xbox 360 for Christmas last year. Since then she has sent it back SIX times for the same reason (open tray error). It started after the return policy had expired, but still under warranty for Xbox. I am tired of sending back and I want something I can use to get either my money back or a new system. Also no “get a PS3!” please. Thank you.
